Auditions set for Shakespeare Festival

Auditions for the fourth annual season of the Redlands Shakespeare Festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 16 and 17, from 1-4 pm at the Redlands Police Annex, 30 Cajon St., Redlands.

Festival directors are seeking a cast of 45 actors to perform in this season's repertory schedule.

The 2008 Season of Power will feature productions of “Twelfth Night,” “Macbeth,” and “Antony and Cleopatra.”

Rehearsals will begin Feb. 25.

Performances will be Thursday through Sunday evenings, May 8 through May 25, at the Redlands Bowl.

All roles are open. Auditions will be held on a first-come, first served basis, and will consist of cold readings from the scripts of this season's selected plays. Actors are encouraged to arrive early, and bring a picture and resume, if they have them.

MTV's The Real World Auditions

If you are ready to stop being polite and start being real, then this audition is for you! MTV is out to cast their latest Real World series. They will be holding an open casting call Saturday at BAR pizzeria and nightclub on Crown Street between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Seven 18- to 24-year-olds auditioning at casting calls around the country will be selected to appear on the 21st season of MTV’s longest-running show, which documents the lives of seven strangers living and working together over the course of several months.
